Profile Description

 Ice Land is a year-round project. We freeze crystal-clear ice blocks in special machines. Two 130-kilogram ice blocks are created over three days using a special process.

We assemble these ice blocks, measuring 100 cm x 50 cm x 25 cm, on site according to the sculptors’ plans for each individual sculpture. Over the course of three weeks, each of us uses chainsaws, cutters, angle grinders, chisels, and other tools—including irons and hair dryers—to create our sculptures, which are then on display for the next few months.

Ice Land is set up in a 200 m² tent cooled to -4°C, so we recommend that you dress warmly. And don’t forget your camera 🙂

This year, Ice Land takes us to a fairy-tale world where we’ll meet Masha and the Bear from a Russian folk tale; with a goblin, we’ll get to see the Centaur, and the Golden Bird will take us into the world of Slovenian folk tales. You can also ride there in a carriage drawn by a three-headed dragon, and you can see a real snow sculpture, the Snow Queen.

This year, the slide is even bigger and longer, and just like last year, you can grab a bite to eat at the ice bar.
