Lake Črnava

Lake Črnava is located near Preddvor. Lake Črnava is a great place for a walk. A well-maintained path circles the lake. The path takes us through a small forest right next to the lake and across a meadow until we reach the end of the lake. At that point, Lake Črnava connects to a waterway; the Bistrica stream flows onward, crossed by a small bridge. If we continue along the path, we come to a hut that is open during the summer and serves food, drinks, and refreshing ice cream. On the other side, Lake Črnava also has a pier, which often becomes a haven for lovers or young people. The final stop on the route around Lake Črnava is at Hotel Bor.

Lake Črnava isn’t very large, and the path is well-maintained, so it isn’t too demanding; it’s also suitable for younger children, though access with strollers can be difficult. Lake Črnava is also home to ducks, which will add some fun to your walk. Around the lake, you’ll find marked and well-maintained hiking trails, or you can simply have a picnic; there are many peaceful spots around the lake where you can relax.
