Labin is an interesting eastern Istrian choice if you want a historic town, an elevated position and a somewhat different Istrian feel from the western coastal places.
The town stands above the coast, so the arrival already suggests a more open and layered landscape. The old centre is pleasant for walking and gives a strong sense of urban history combined with proximity to the sea.
It works very well together with Rabac or with a broader route along eastern Istria.
