Baška is one of the best-known places on the island of Krk and works well for a trip that combines a seafront walk, a historic centre and broad views over the southern part of the island.

The settlement is especially known for Vela Plaža, its long pebble beach, as well as for its stone houses and relaxed coastal atmosphere. It feels both like a resort and like a convenient base for a slower look around the surrounding landscape.
It suits an easy family outing, a shorter stop while crossing Krk, or a full day if you want to split time between sightseeing and the sea.
