Waterfalls, an emerald spring and a narrow ravine create an adventurous forest day trip near Skrad.
The route uses forest paths and prepared sections, but rocks and timber can be slippery after rain. Check conditions and bring good footwear and water.
Arrive early for a quieter experience, then add local food or another nearby sight to make a full day.
Zeleni vir is a powerful Karst spring beneath a high rock wall, while Vražji prolaz is the narrow, dramatic gorge of the Jasle stream. A forest route with bridges and steps links them into one varied walk.
Moisture defines this landscape. Boards, steps and rocks may remain slippery even in dry weather, so hiking shoes are worthwhile. Respect closures during high water or storms.
Plan around three hours for the full circuit with stops. Soft morning light is excellent for waterfall photography, and nearby Skrad makes a practical stop after the walk.
