Korada – a scenic summit in Brda is an interesting trip idea. This page includes a short description, location, photos and basic visit information.

Korada is a popular day-trip destination on the northern edge of Goriška Brda. At 812 metres, it offers open views over the hills above the Soča River and, in clear weather, toward the Adriatic Sea.

What to expect

Marked mountain trails lead to Korada from the centre of Brda, the Soča Valley and Sabotin. Just below the summit are the Church of Saint Genderca and a mountain hut built on the foundations of First World War military structures. Along the way, you can still notice traces of wartime heritage, together with meadow plants that are now rare elsewhere in Brda.

Why go

Korada works well as a short hiking outing, a nature walk, or a scenic stop that combines landscape and history. Locals also know the hill as Kobalar, named after the farm Pri Kobalarju below the mountain. If you want a slower visit, plan time for the hut area and for photos from the summit.

Plan your visit

For the most reliable current information, check the official Brda tourism site and, if needed, the mountain hut operator. Korada is a natural area, so trail conditions can change with weather and season.
