Rovinj is one of the best-known places in Istria and works very well as an easy full-day coastal trip.
The historic centre rises on a peninsula and combines Venetian architecture, stone alleys, small squares and sea views at almost every turn. It is a good choice for a relaxed walk, casual sightseeing, photography and a slow stop by the waterfront.
A morning or late-afternoon visit is usually the most pleasant, especially in the high season.
