Profile Description

Dovška Baba is a 1,891-meter-high mountain in the Western Karawanks on the Austrian–Slovenian border. It is connected to the more westerly-lying Kepa by the Mlinca Pass (1,581 m), toward which it descends via a short, steep, weathered ridge. It faces north, where it drops into the Rdečica and Medje valleys, while on the eastern side, it descends via the ridge extension of Hruški vrh (1,776 m) to the Rožca Pass (1,587 m), which connects it to the Golica group. On its southern slope lies the extensive Dovška Rožca Mountain Pasture. In addition to this, nearby are Hruška Mountain Pasture on the Slovenian side and Rožca Mountain Pasture on the Austrian side, both below Hruški vrh.

Two Karawanks tunnels run through it, connecting Austria with Slovenia: the 7,864-meter-long highway tunnel on the A2 and the 7,976-meter-long railway tunnel.
