Komenda Mountain Hut

The Komenda Mountain Hut combines two seemingly contrasting extremes: a rustic, homely interior that creates a cozy atmosphere, and a modern menu designed for people who, despite their fast-paced lifestyles, prioritize their health.

Located at the foot of Šenturska Gora and accessible to both those who love hiking and those who prefer to arrive on their “steel horses”—bicycles—it bears the slogan: “MOUNTAIN PARADISE.”
The mountain lodge is situated on the outskirts of Komenda, below Šenturška Gora, on a small hill, secluded and surrounded by trees.

We also offer all guests a picnic area slightly separate from the dining area, which you can reserve and use to host your own gathering.
We’ve also thought of our youngest guests, who have access to a variety of play equipment (trampoline, slide, swings, frisbee, etc.). Since the Komenda Mountain Lodge is set back from road traffic, you’ll be able to relax while the children play.

At the Komenda Mountain Lodge, we offer a varied selection of snacks and fresh bread every day, and above all, fast and friendly service.

The lodge is modern and caters to anyone who wants to take a moment to pause in the rush of the day and enjoy a quick, healthy meal in a pleasant natural setting. The menu focuses on “stews” and delicious “grilled dishes.”

What do we offer?
After discussing your needs, we will prepare a menu that best suits your preferences (type, quantity, and price range of food, type of service, etc.). You can choose between classic service or canapés, open-faced sandwiches, or mountain-style cold cuts.
At the picnic area, you can hire a barbecue chef (our “grill master”) separately.

Access

• Komenda vas bus station, to the hut – 20 min.

By car:

• Take the local Komenda-Podboršt road near Komenda; turn left after the last houses, 1.1 km.
