Profile Description

Limbarska Gora is a beautiful viewpoint in central Slovenia and the most popular hiking destination in the Moravška Valley and the surrounding area. It is only 30 km from Ljubljana.

At the summit of Limbarska Gora stands the famous Baroque Church of St. Valentine, designed in 1735 by architect Gregor Maček. The building is an imposing structure with a freestanding bell tower that once served as a defensive tower. Next to the church is the Urankar Inn.

Every year in March, the locals organize the Carnation Hike to Limbarska Gora, and in the fall, the Farewell to Summer with Music on Limbarska Gora.

The summit of Limbarska Gora, with its two chapels to the east and west of the church, has been designated a cultural and historical monument since 1999.

Limbarska Gora is a very popular hiking destination. See for yourself!

How to get to Limbarska Gora?
