Profile Description

Trupejevim poldne (1,931 m) is a peak in the Western Karawanks on the border between Slovenia and Austria. On the Slovenian side, it is accessible from the village of Gozd Martuljek via Srednji vrh. From the Austrian side, a road leads to the village of Tetchanting, south of Villach.  It was named after the Trupej farm on the Austrian side. It is a popular destination among hikers and ski tourers.

The peak offers a beautiful view across the entire Upper Sava Valley toward Špik in the Julian Alps all the way to Carinthia on the Austrian side. Surrounding peaks in the Karawanks: Maloško poldne (1,828 m), Kepa (2,143 m), Mojstrovica (1,816 m), and Visoki Kurji vrh (1,828 m) to the southeast.
Access by car: In Gozd Martuljek, turn right toward Srednji Vrh and drive along a narrow, steep road to the village. When the road levels out slightly, you will reach an intersection and a turnaround. Park here.
